About

OUR COMMITMENT

Our doctors and staff are dedicated to providing exceptional internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, geriatric, and wellness care for pets, all with the highest level of compassion and at an affordable cost.

OUR VISION

The inspiration for opening an affordable veterinary hospital came from witnessing the difficult financial choices clients had to make between treating their pets and covering their own expenses.

Affordable Veterinary Services Animal Hospital does not provide free services, nor are we considered "cheap." We offer reasonably priced care based on overhead, product costs, and employee salaries. We take pride in delivering value and compassion, backed by years of experience.

OUR IDEA

The “Veterinary Group” concept was developed in hopes of reducing the operating costs associated with running an animal hospital. The idea is to have two separate veterinary businesses operating independently while sharing the building’s overhead and equipment expenses.

Affordable Veterinary Services Animal Hospital is owned by Dr. Sue Skelding, and Mercy Veterinary Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting animal shelters and rescues, is owned by Dr. Stacie Kreiser.

To minimize our remodeling costs and comply with stringent building codes, we strategically repurposed building materials and used office dividers for exam rooms instead of constructing new walls. By salvaging and refurbishing materials, we not only reduced the expense of an architecturally designed remodel but also embraced sustainable practices.

This approach has also allowed us to maintain the building's historical character while staying within budget, demonstrating that resourcefulness and innovation can result in significant financial savings and environmental benefits.
